Greetings!

I'm Kathleen, an experienced licensed veterinary technician who values a fear-free approach to pet care. My love for animals, which began in my childhood, inspired me to embark on a career in veterinary medicine. I started my journey as a kennel girl in a veterinary clinic in 1999, and later earned my degree in Veterinary Technology in 2004.
Throughout my career, I've gained broad experience in diverse areas of veterinary medicine. I've worked in general practice, internal medicine at a Specialty hospital, as well as volunteered with various rescue and non-profit organizations. I've also explored research medicine through an externship at the University of Washington Department of Comparative Medicine, as well as a pre-clinical pharmaceutical research laboratory. These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding and a broad skill set in the field.
Beyond my clinical work, I have nearly two decades of hands-on experience in canine reproduction, having bred and shown Japanese Chin in AKC events since 2002. I'm honored to be recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit and have served on the Board of Directors for the Japanese Chin Club of America for two years.
In the summer of 2023, I launched my own mobile veterinary technician and pet-sitting business. I believe that home visits are less stressful for pets and foster a more personal connection with their owners. My business offers a variety of services, including veterinary technician/nursing care, drop-in pet sitting, hygiene services, and more, all delivered with a professional yet relaxed, fear-free approach.
Outside of my professional life, my husband and I are proud owners of The Klennert Homestead, located in rural Snohomish. Our daughter attends a Montessori co-op at the SVEC in Monroe. We are deeply rooted in our community and actively participate in 4-H Archery, 4-H Poultry, and 4-H Dogs. As a family, we relish the outdoor offerings of the Pacific Northwest.
